NEW YORK, July 20, 2026, 08:11 EDT – Early financial data suggests that TKO Group Holdings (NYSE:TKO) is positioned to capture the highest gross cash among U.S.-listed companies benefiting from the 2026 FIFA World Cup, while Fox Corp (NASDAQ:FOXA) demonstrates more favorable earnings dynamics, according to preliminary figures released Monday.

The unaudited data, which does not represent final World Cup revenue, reflects limited cash amounts, advertising expenditure, and anticipated host earnings. This distinction is critical for investors assessing the financial impact of the tournament.

TKO reported $937.3 million in restricted cash as of March 31, with a $582.4 million quarterly increase attributed to its On Location division's World Cup hospitality initiative. On Location has allocated over 500,000 hospitality packages, with sales more than doubling all prior World Cup programs by March 31. President Paul Caine noted that demand for the 2026 event is exceeding the company's most ambitious projections.

Fox Corp has seen $459 million in English-language advertising spending through the semifinals, representing 94.6% of its $485 million rights fee. With the final still to be played, Fox needs an additional $26 million to cover its reported rights cost. Morgan Stanley (NYSE:MS) had projected $300 million to $400 million in advertising sales before kickoff, a figure already surpassed by MediaRadar's gross spending estimate.

Comcast Corp (NASDAQ:CMCSA), the second-largest U.S. broadcaster, reported $356 million in Spanish-language advertising spending through the semifinals, accounting for 59.3% of its $600 million rights fee. The company's results, scheduled for Thursday at 08:30 EDT, will be the first official update of the week.

Airbnb Inc (NASDAQ:ABNB) offers a softer indication, with hosts in the 16 host cities expected to collectively earn $212 million, though the bulk of this revenue goes to hosts rather than the platform.

Market performance from July 10 to July 17 saw Fox climb 6.5%, Comcast rise 0.9%, TKO add 0.4%, and Airbnb decline 1.8%. Fox is set to report fiscal year results on August 6, both reports excluding the closing rounds of July.

These early estimates carry risks, as final figures may shift due to affiliate divisions, fulfillment expenses, supplier settlements, refunds, and amortization of rights. Based on current data, TKO leads in gross cash, while Fox appears ahead on margins. Comcast's Thursday earnings release will be closely watched for further insights.
