Old National Bank and Indiana Fever Launch Co-Branded Cards for WNBA Season

Old National Bank and the WNBA's Indiana Fever introduced a new lineup of co-branded debit cards, credit cards, and checks on Saturday, coinciding with the team's 2026 season opener against the Dallas Wings at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. The products, featuring both the bank's and the team's logos, are now available at Old National branches across Indiana.

This rollout deepens a partnership that began in 2025, which already included Fever radio broadcasts on the Old National Bank Radio Network via 93.5/107.5 The Fan and various small-business promotions. The new financial products allow fans to display their team loyalty in everyday transactions, from game day to daily purchases.

Product Details and Availability

Old National, which handles banking services for the Fever, stated that customers can obtain Fever-themed debit cards by opening select checking accounts. A Fever-branded Old National Visa rewards credit card is also available, along with Fever-themed checks that can be ordered with any checking account. The cards and checks are designed to strengthen the connection between fans and the team beyond the arena.

Small Business Initiatives

The partnership extends to community-focused programs, including the Indiana Fever Small Business Assist Program, backed by Old National. Indiana residents aged 18 and older can nominate themselves or another small-business owner. Seven finalists will each receive Fever tickets, a social media spotlight video, and an on-court recognition. One grand prize winner will receive $5,000 from the bank, plus four Fever tickets, bringing the total prize value to $5,600. Nominations are accepted from April 28 to July 28, 2026, with a 5 p.m. Indianapolis deadline.

Old National also promotes its Empowerment Small Business Loan Program, which offers up to $5 million to qualified businesses that may not meet standard underwriting criteria, with lower credit score thresholds and adjusted collateral rules. The program targets businesses in cities including Chicago, Evansville, Indianapolis, Louisville, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and Nashville. As of November 2025, the bank had approved $45 million in loans under this program since its 2023 launch, with 37% of those funds going to Chicago small businesses.

Market Context and Industry Trends

Other WNBA teams are pursuing similar partnerships. The Atlanta Dream recently announced a multi-year agreement with Lendistry as its official small-business lender, and the Chicago Sky also partnered with Lendistry on April 28 for a women's small-business program. These moves reflect a broader trend of WNBA franchises integrating financial services sponsors with community and small-business initiatives.

However, there are risks. Not all fans will convert to new accounts or generate steady revenue. Credit card approvals are not guaranteed, and small-business prizes have limitations. According to program rules, nomination details do not influence credit decisions or account openings.

Old National, with $73 billion in assets, aims to strengthen its presence in Indiana's sports scene and small-business outreach through this deal. For the Fever, it represents another step beyond courtside advertising, focusing on community engagement and daily consumer interaction.
