Earnings season is one of the most volatile periods in the stock market, with individual stocks routinely moving 5-15% in a single session after reporting results. This list tracks every company scheduled to report earnings in the next 14 days, giving investors time to prepare for potential price swings, position trades, or manage existing holdings ahead of announcements.

Each quarter, roughly 3,000 publicly traded companies release earnings over a concentrated 6-week window. The biggest moves come from surprises — when actual earnings per share or revenue deviate significantly from Wall Street consensus estimates. Forward guidance matters even more than the numbers themselves. A company that beats estimates but lowers guidance can still sell off sharply.

This calendar shows report dates, timing (before/after market), consensus EPS and revenue estimates, and current market caps. Data is sourced from earnings calendar feeds and updated daily. Use this alongside the earnings calendar page for a week-by-week view.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is earnings season?
Earnings season refers to the period each quarter when the majority of publicly traded companies release their financial results. It typically begins about two weeks after each quarter ends — January for Q4, April for Q1, July for Q2, and October for Q3. The busiest weeks see hundreds of companies reporting daily, creating concentrated volatility across sectors. Major banks traditionally kick off earnings season, followed by big tech, industrials, and consumer companies.
How do earnings affect stock prices?
Stock prices react to whether reported earnings beat or miss analyst estimates, not to the absolute numbers. A company earning $2.00 per share will drop if analysts expected $2.20. Beyond the headline numbers, markets focus on revenue growth, profit margins, forward guidance, and management commentary about demand trends. The biggest single-day moves come from companies that surprise on guidance — raising or lowering their outlook for future quarters often matters more than the current quarter's results.
What does "before market" and "after market" mean for earnings?
Companies choose to release earnings either before market open (BMO) or after market close (AMC). BMO reports come out between 6-9 AM ET, giving investors time to react before regular trading. AMC reports come after 4 PM ET and trade in after-hours sessions with thinner liquidity. The timing matters because after-hours price reactions can be exaggerated due to lower volume. The stock typically finds its true post-earnings price in the first 30-60 minutes of the next regular session.
What are EPS estimates?
EPS (earnings per share) estimates represent the consensus prediction from Wall Street analysts for a company's quarterly profit divided by shares outstanding. Estimates are compiled from individual analyst models and reported as a consensus average. The "whisper number" is an unofficial expectation that may differ from the published consensus. Companies that beat EPS estimates by a large margin often see their stock rise, but the market also evaluates revenue, margins, and guidance alongside headline EPS.
Should I buy stocks before or after earnings?
Both approaches carry risk. Buying before earnings is essentially a binary bet — the stock could gap up or down significantly. Some traders buy weeks before earnings expecting a "run-up" as anticipation builds, then sell before the report. Buying after earnings lets you react to actual results rather than speculate. Long-term investors often prefer buying on post-earnings dips when a good company drops on a temporary miss. The worst strategy is panic-buying before earnings with no plan for the downside.
What is an earnings surprise?
An earnings surprise occurs when a company's reported EPS differs from the analyst consensus estimate. A positive surprise means actual earnings exceeded expectations; a negative surprise means they fell short. The magnitude matters — a 1-2% beat is typical and often already priced in, while a 10%+ beat or miss triggers significant price movement. Studies show that stocks with positive earnings surprises tend to outperform for 60-90 days after the announcement, a phenomenon known as post-earnings announcement drift (PEAD).
What is revenue vs earnings?
Revenue (also called sales or top line) is the total money a company brings in from its business operations. Earnings (net income or bottom line) is what remains after subtracting all costs, taxes, and expenses. Both matter to investors but signal different things. Revenue growth shows demand for products and services, while earnings show profitability and cost management. A company can grow revenue quickly while earnings decline if costs rise faster — this is common in high-growth companies investing heavily in expansion.
How to read an earnings report?
Start with the headline numbers: EPS vs estimate and revenue vs estimate. Then check year-over-year growth rates for both metrics. Look at gross margin and operating margin trends — expanding margins signal improving efficiency. Read the forward guidance section carefully, as this drives the stock more than backward-looking results. Check the earnings call transcript for management tone on demand, pricing, and competitive dynamics. Finally, review cash flow from operations and any changes to share buyback or dividend programs.
